Destinations

At Future Finders Employability College, we are committed to supporting the aspirations of all students to ensure that they gain the understanding, skills and experience they need to make progress and succeed in their learning towards their destinations.

This ambitious and progressive vision for supporting the destination journey of all of our young people aligns to the Good Career Guidance benchmarks directly linked to the Gatsby Foundation (click here).

A formalised approach ensures that teaching and learning is strengthened by study opportunities and activities to enhance our students’ portfolios which promote transition to adulthood, employability and lifelong careers.

Moreover, we believe that having highly effective destination guidance and careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) not only contributes to our students’ wellbeing but also to the wellbeing of their families, the communities to which they belong, wider society, businesses and the economy.

Labour Market Information

Greater Manchester is home to amazing organisations, exciting businesses, and endless opportunities. This makes it a great place for our young people to find a career. These organisations operate in sectors, which are different parts of the economy.

Labour Market Information (LMI) is an extremely useful tool that can support the search for future careers and informs us about current and future jobs within our local area. Using LMI in this way increases career prospects and can provide a path for our young people to pursue market trends into their employment destinations.

To be successful, each sector needs people with specialist skills. You can explore some information about the top sectors in Greater Manchester, including Digital, Creative and Media, Manufacturing and Technology, Health and Social Care, Professional Services and Business, by clicking here.

For any further information related to LMI, please contact Colin Morrison, Careers Leader, who will be able to assist you with your enquiry:

Providers Access Statement

We ensure that there are a broad and ambitious range of opportunities for our students to access a wide variety of events which are integrated into our curriculum and are delivered internally with input from external providers who are invited to key relevant activities and events.

This policy statement sets out the arrangements for managing the access of providers to students for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with our legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997 and The Baker Clause, an amendment of the Technical and Further Education Act 2017.

Safeguarding

Our safeguarding policy, click here, outlines our procedures for checking the identity and suitability of visitors. All education and training providers will be expected to adhere to this policy.

Future Finders Employability College will grant access requests that meet the following criteria:

  • The provider has detailed knowledge of the nature of the SEND of our students
  • The provider can offer appropriate pathways/destinations for the students, both academically and personal development

Future Finders Employability College will refuse any access request that:

  • The site believes is not in the best interests of the students
  • The list is not exhaustive. However, each access request will be considered on a case by case basis
