Future Finders Update: 15.7.22
To round off their year at Future Finders, the students have had a packed few weeks. They have fully enjoyed trips to bowling, cinema, tree top golf, Cheshire Segway and Chester boat ride.
On the 4th July, students took a trip to bowling and the cinema to watch Jurassic World. We had a great time bowling and there were a few stand out bowlers, possibly been practicing on the quiet for the big day to get the big points up on the board. We chilled and had some lunch after the bowling session and then on to the cinema to get comfortable and watch the film.
On the 11th July, we took part in a tree top crazy golf day. We found the course quite difficult at times, but was very enjoyable. The best parts were the interactive bits that lit up when you aimed the ball at the right target. Lewis even won the hole in one on the bonus round. Well done Lewis!!
On the 12th July, we went to the Cheshire Segway activity centre. This was an exhilarating experience for all involved. In the morning session we took part in a falconry experience where we handled and flew 3 different birds of prey. These varied in size and were magnificent creatures to watch. This was a once in a lifetime experience for our students and they were very brave to be this up close to these animals. In the afternoon the students continued to impress us by participating in a number of activities such as rifle shooting, archery and segways.
These sessions were difficult and scary at times but every student had a good go at everything on offer and the staff were very proud of them. The students had an amazing day and all walked away with a sense of achievement in doing something out of the comfort zone.
On the 14th July, we headed over to Chester for a 2-hour trip down the River Dee and it was stunning. We arrived just before lunch time and boarded the boat straight away, finding ourselves seats to enjoy the amazing views of the Chester countryside from the water. There was some commentary about the history of the river, the buildings and surrounding area as we slowly sailed along. We bought soft drinks at the bar onboard and had arranged for a buffet lunch to be waiting for us which we tucked into once we were on the way. It was a relaxing and fun trip enjoyed by us all, what an end to a very busy year.
Well done Future Finders you’ve been amazing, we look forward to seeing you all at the prom in your lovely outfits.
