Future Finders Update:

Firstly, I hope that you had a fantastic half-term break last week. Whatever you did, I hope that those activities provided a suitable and substantial distraction from College or work and that you had the opportunity to recharge your biological batteries.

I cannot let this week pass without commenting on all of the wonderful activities that I have seen this week at Future Finders College. All students (and staff) have given 100% effort and I cannot commend your hard work enough, well done all and thank you.

Whatever you have planned for over the weekend, I’m wishing it brings you much joy and happiness. I’ve heard that the sun is going to shine this weekend, so please do enjoy a little bit of Springtime. See you on Monday morning… ready to ‘go again’!

Scott Mckeown, Head of College.

World Book Day Update:

To celebrate World Book Day, students and staff at Future Finders College have taken part in an array of activities this week. We had some wonderful entries to our fancy dress competition and were paid visits by famous faces such as Harry Potter and Count Dracula.

Some students enjoyed taking a trip to Waterstones to spend their World Book Day vouchers – they even made it onto the Waterstones Oldham Twitter! During form time, students participated in a quiz in which they had to recall the titles of famous book-to-film adaptations and award winning books. To round the World Book Day celebrations off, we all enjoyed a much-deserved slice of cake.

Mrs Farrell would like to say a huge thank you to all students and staff that participated in the World Book Day celebrations. The benefits and pleasures that reading can offer are countless. As put simply but perfectly by Dr. Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
