The last week of what has been a very strange term is done! Future Finders have carried on, they have persevered, they have completed virtual learning, they have completed placements and worked on completing quite a bit of their Employability qualifications – you are all amazing!
In last week’s blog, I mentioned I would be putting our Christmas tree up at home, well here it is, didn’t take as long as what I thought it would, and I think we have done a great job.
This was our last week of the year at AVRO Football Club and our job coach Diane is delighted to announce that Jermaine, Jamie and Matthew have all completed their Health and Safety Awareness Open Award unit..
Well done for all your hard work, the staff complimented the students on how well they have worked and AVRO also gave all the lads a selection box. Thank you Avro for looking after us and Merry Christmas everyone!
We have also celebrated another birthday this week – Dominic turned 21 over the weekend. Hope you had a fabulous day! Thanks for the birthday cake!
Wednesday was Christmas Dinner Day. All students sat together – socially distanced of course and enjoyed their festive treats!
Then after dinner we accessed the online showing of the Christmas Pantomime that was streamed by Oldham Library, which was fabulous!
It is free to register and access it from home, so just in case you wanted to watch it yourselves, the link is here.
Thursday was Christmas Film and Party Day. After much discussion last week, we opted for Home Alone, along with so many Christmas Quizzes. Ask them how many presents were given in the 12 days of Christmas or when “All I want for Christmas is you” was released!
To finish off this week’s blog, I thought I would put a video together of what we have achieved this term:

I hope you’ve all seen our first newsletter which has gone out to families – you can find it here if you’ve missed it.
That’s it from Future Finders this year and what a year it has been!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and here’s wishing that 2021 is a whole lot better than this year!
Merry Christmas to everyone at Future Finders!
From Anne-Marie and the Team
