Well, another busy week for us at Future Finders as we continue to work extremely hard over at The Guinness Partnership’s new café. This week we recruited some staff for Guinness and we look forward to welcoming them to the organisation very soon.
I have spent quite a bit of time out of college this week to report on progress and to celebrate our outstanding work to the trust’s executive team and governors. As part of our accountability framework and governance strategy, each term, key staff members including curriculum leads, finance teams and HR colleagues report to myself to update me on how we are getting on! This is a brilliant time to truly celebrate and to hear about what we do every day at Medtia! Mr Pidlyskyj and I then attend a meeting with the trust’s executive team and governors to report on our progress.
Now over to our staff and students for their weekly update…
Another busy week with our Future Finders! Liam, Fahad and Josh have been beavering away in Oldham Library – here you can see Liam replacing the old date stamp labels..
Fahad has been working on the information desk upstairs, checking people in and out when they are using the public computers..
Josh is completing his online typing club assessments and is now working on his advanced level 2..
Josh is sailing through the typing tests and clearly enjoying himself!
Jason has been working down at our new café at the Guinness Group in Hollinwood. It is all very new to us but we are working hard to get into a routine and keep the Pop up Café running smoothly..
Lewis is over at school where he is doing a fantastic job as a Teaching Assistant in an IT class. He is a great help in class and very supportive of the younger students and always behaves in a professional manner.
Spring Brook Lower School are supporting the Bone Cancer Research Trust’s Stamp Appeal and collecting used stamps at school (click here for more details about the campaign). Please could you send in any stamps you receive and we will make sure they are sent on to the charity. Thank you.
Don’t forget that Parents’ Evening is on Tuesday! We hope to see you all then.
Have a great weekend,
Daniel
